Yak Milk Dog Chew

Chews! Chewing and gnawing on a yak! 

We feel yaks our one of the best chews you can get your doggy. Yaks are perfectly healthy, safe and chemical free. They are made with yak and cow milk without anything else.

Yak Milk Chews are made from a mix of skimmed Yak and Cow milk. A very small amount of lime juice and salt is added to coagulate (harden) the milk, which is then compressed into blocks and smoke dried for 28 days to give the chews their unique flavour. Made in small batches using traditional methods. Each chew is laid on drying racks and then dried through the use of traditional smokers. The chews are moved up in height weekly over a 4 week period as they dry so that they are furthest away from the smoker in their last week of drying. These products get better with age and last longer the older they are, which is why there is a 5 year shelf life on them. One of the great things about a Yak Milk Chew is that the whole chew can be eaten.

Honestly - if we could single out any product in our store to complement flirt poles, snuffle matts and puzzles, it would be a Yak Chew.

Yak chews are hard and require the dogs to chew and grind against this over "bone" like chew for hours. They last a considerable long time (if they are good quality). 

Once a Yak Chew gets to around 2-4 cms long (depending on your dog size), take the yak and microwave it between  60 to 120 seconds in the microwave. Don't let it burn, but don't under cook it. Yaks turn into the PERFECT crunchy little treat.

What do we do?

Jesse is a reactive and highly energetic dog. The amount of energy Jesse has could power a small village for a week. Unfortunately, with her reactivity if Jesse isn't relaxed, calmed or feeling settled the energy creates intense and upsetting situations. Jesse LOVES yaks. It's a meditation session for her. 

We ensure that Jesse knows that Yaks are a high reward. Once we do our usual little routine of tasks we will have Jesse chew on a yak for about 20-35 minutes. This is especially important prior to going out for a walk. With Jesse's excitement and no chewing in the day it's a nightmare. If we bring a yak into play it brings her down and sets us (Jesse..) up for success.

Shipping

We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.

We offer free shipping on all items. All items aim to be shipped and delivered within 30 days of purchase, but due to suppliers delivery times these can't be guaranteed. In most cases we will aim to have them delivered around 15 days based on the item availability and service. If you require the product sooner, please reach out to hello@doogle.store and we'll see what we can do to get your item sooner!

Shipping times vary by location and product. Each product we aim to have delivered within 15 to 30 days.

Returns Policy

We offer a no questions asked return policy. We want you to love our products and our service. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks after we receive your package, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
